it worked the first day i had it but now it won’t work at all. it said there is a problem with the hue flow between the two devices. it prints and copies, fine but it just won’t scan. any suggestions, i have called the company and they are no help, they couldn’t even figure the problem out.
it’s an hp and no it will not work if the computer is off

Cannon scanner, HP printer, not sure of computer brand, need idea of cables needed and where to plug them in. Whether I hook up first then run software. Possible that software is already installed, it was hooked up once before.

The printer is an hp officejet 6110 xi all-in-one and I have none of the original programs or other stuff bacause an former employer used it to “pay” me for some work. My computer is and emachine with windows xp. I went to the HP website and tried to upload the software/driver. I’m still not sure that worked out. The directions on the site didn’t seem correct. It said to “click the download now button.” There was none! I’m trying to scan a plat map in. A screen pops up asking me to choose between one of two programs that I use for pictures. Adobe photo workshop or Microsoft camera and scanner wizard. This scans it fine but then I need to transmit it to another site which will only accept a pdf file. Can you help?
