When I scan an article and try to send it via email, I am asked for my user name and password?

The email is not sent, probably because the password is incorrect. The readout is “Some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks. Please review the list of errors below for more details. The details box is blank. How can I retrieve the correct password? I have a Lexmark X1150 printer/scanner/copier.
