I recently bought the Sony VAIO Fj270 notebook and now I would like to buy a printer for it to use when necessary. What kind of printer should I be looking for? USB ports blown.I need help?

All my USB ports are blown on my laptop due to weather. This really sucks.Now I need to buy a new wireless printer . I went online to research wireless printers and get reviews. I have read that you still need USB connection while you are installing a wireless printer. Is this true? Is there a way to install the software without having to use USB. If so, any recommendations on good but inexpensive wireless printers?
