I’m going to use iron-on printer paper to print out a design I made on the computer (it’s all black) to put it on a shirt. What is the best iron-on paper and do you have any tips for doing iron-ons? Can I cut it out so there’s not all the extra clear on there?

What kind of backing paper is it?

Posted by Printer | Posted in Hobbies & Crafts | Posted on 26-09-2009

Hi,
I am looking for this kind of backing paper and not sure of what’s it’s called. This backing paper is just like a regular paper for copy machine or printer but has one side that is very glossy. If you put, lets say, a sticky label on it, it will stick but will not stick to this glossy side permanently. It means you can just peel the label right off. I am making some glue self adhesive pictures and want to stick them on these backing paper so I can peel them off later on without damaging anything. Thanks!

How can I add tackiness to a rubber roller in a printer/copier?

Posted by Printer | Posted in Hobbies & Crafts | Posted on 12-09-2009

Steve71 asked:

The paper-feed in my old laser printer is having trouble grabbing a sheet.because the rubber wheel has dried out and gotten too slick. Any replacement part would be expensive and has probably already dried up on the shelf. How can I restore some tackiness to the rubber without gumming up everything? Double-sided cellophane tape is a bit too strong. I am counting on the Hobbies and Crafts community for a creative idea.
