Is there such thing as Magazine printer friendly paper?

I need to make a CD sleeve with several pages so I need thin paper that is not see through. Thats why I was thinking about the paper they use for magazines. Do they make it that I could use it in my everyday printer?

I think they use thermo-printers for magazines to get that good of quality. I think the ink is a wax that melts on the page. With that type of paper in a home printer, the ink wouldn’t stick, and just smear off. Thermo-printers are pretty expensive too, like $2500. Your best bet is to take it over to Kinko’s or look online for a custom label/paper place.
I think I think you need to go to a good papershop, printer shop or craftstore.
I know there are many different kinds of paper, but it is very hard to tell you which kind to take.
I think Magazines usually are printed by offset printers on coated stock. To avoid being able to see through it, try to find 40 lb. (or heavier) coated stock.
Mazagine paper is also sold as “brochure” paper at office supply places… it’s clay coated. I’m not sure if it works with inkjet though, but pretty sure it does with toner based machines (photocopiers, lasers).
Don’t know that it’s not *somewhat* translucent though, and the same even for most cardstock.
